1. Who provides the service

ClipMix is provided by Secure Online Managements SL (NIF ESB01794866), with registered address at C/ Creueta 20, 08870 Sitges (Barcelona), Spain, and contact email clipmix@som.company (“ClipMix” or “we”). These terms govern the use of the ClipMix app for Android and of the service that makes it work.

2. What ClipMix is

ClipMix turns a long video on your phone into vertical clips with captions. You pick the video, artificial intelligence suggests every moment that works as a clip, you fine-tune them on your phone offline and you export them to your gallery.

The original file doesn’t leave your phone. To analyze it we only send its audio and, when you export a clip, the piece of video of that clip. The privacy policy explains it.

3. Acceptance and age

By using ClipMix you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.

You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of your parents or guardians if the law of your country requires it.

4. Your account

You don’t need to sign up: the app creates an anonymous account when you open it. The account is also recognized by your device, so if you reinstall the app on the same phone you get your minutes, your purchases and your projects back. If you factory-reset your phone or change phones, a new account is created.

Your account ID (CM-XXXX-XXXX) is in Profile. Keep it: we ask for it if you write to support or ask to delete your account from the website.

5. Minutes

Analysis is paid for with minutes of analyzed video. It is ClipMix’s only counter.

  • How it’s charged: by the whole minutes of the section you choose to analyze, rounded down and at least one. You see how much it costs before analyzing. It’s charged when the suggested clips are delivered; it isn’t charged per clip.
  • Videos already analyzed: if you pick again a video you already analyzed, it’s recognized and not charged again.
  • Free minutes: 30 minutes every 30 days per device, topped up when you open the app. They don’t accumulate: what you don’t use expires after 30 days or when the next free minutes arrive. Anyone with an active plan doesn’t receive them. They’re one per device: reinstalling the app or deleting the account doesn’t bring the next ones forward.
  • Subscriptions: give minutes per period. Each period’s minutes last until the next period starts and don’t accumulate.
  • Packs: minutes bought once that don’t expire.
  • Order of use: first the free minutes, then the subscription and finally the packs.

Prices, the minutes of each plan and the length of each period are shown in the app and on Google Play before you pay.

6. Exporting doesn’t use minutes

Exporting and re-exporting a clip never costs minutes. To keep the service fair for everyone, each account can send up to 120 minutes of clips to render in 24 hours, and free clips are rendered one at a time.

7. Free clips: watermark and ad

A clip is paid if, when you export it, you have an active plan or pack minutes, or if its project was analyzed with any paid minute (from a subscription or a pack) that hasn’t been refunded. Otherwise it’s free: its project was analyzed only with free minutes.

  • Free clips carry a watermark (the logo and “ClipMix”, in the bottom-left corner). It’s added on our server when the clip is rendered.
  • To export each free clip you first watch a rewarded ad. The ad only appears when you ask for it. If it isn’t completed or can’t be verified, that clip isn’t rendered, but you lose nothing: you can try again.
  • Paid clips carry no watermark and no ad.

If the purchase that paid for a project’s analysis is refunded, its clips become free again.

8. If something fails, you get your minutes back

If the analysis fails at any of its stages, or is rejected by the content review (section 10), we refund your minutes automatically, and the project shows it with “minutes refunded”. A render that fails is retried and doesn’t touch your balance.

9. Payments, renewal and cancellation

  • Purchases are made with Google Play and are also governed by its terms. They are managed by our provider RevenueCat.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel them.
  • To cancel, go to Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Deleting your account doesn’t cancel the subscription: you have to cancel it on Google Play.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policy. If a purchase is refunded, the minutes it gave are withdrawn.
  • Right of withdrawal (EU). As a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, as long as you haven’t used a single minute of that purchase. When you buy minutes or a plan, you expressly ask for the digital service to start right away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal as soon as you use the first minute of that purchase. Until then, you can exercise it by writing to clipmix@som.company.

10. Your content and the content review

  • Your content is yours. You give us permission only to process it to the extent needed to provide the service: transcribing the audio, suggesting clips and rendering the ones you export.
  • You warrant that you hold the rights to the videos you use and to the voices and people that appear in them, and that you don’t infringe the rights of third parties or the law.
  • Content review: we automatically review the text of each transcript. We reject the analysis if we detect sexual content involving minors, and in that case we refund your minutes.
  • ClipMix doesn’t publish anything. Your clips are private: they are saved in your gallery and you decide where to share them. You are responsible for what you publish and for complying with the rules of each platform.

11. Acceptable use

You may not use ClipMix to process illegal content, to try to obtain minutes fraudulently (for example, by simulating devices), to modify the app to bypass the watermark or the ads, or to attack or overload the service. If you do, we may suspend or close your account.

12. Artificial intelligence results

The suggested clips, the cuts and the captions are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. Review them before publishing. You can change the cut, the framing and the captions in the editor.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep ClipMix running at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, failures or causes beyond our control. We may improve or change features of the app. If a change affects something you have already paid for, we will let you know in advance.

14. Liability

We are liable for the damage we cause through willful misconduct or gross negligence and for anything the law doesn’t allow to be limited. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer. We are not liable for the use you make of your clips outside ClipMix.

15. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its brand and its code belong to Secure Online Managements SL or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without permission. The caption fonts have an open license.

16. Leaving

You can stop using ClipMix and delete your account whenever you want, from Profile › Delete account or from the Delete account page. When you delete it you lose the minutes you have left, including pack minutes.

17. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with its number and its effective date. If the change is significant, we will let you know in the app before it applies.

18. Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. For any questions, write to us from Support or at clipmix@som.company.
