You can delete your ClipMix account and its data whenever you want. From the app it’s immediate; if you no longer have the app, you can request it by email.
From the app
Open ClipMix and go to Profile › Delete account. When you confirm, the account and its data are deleted instantly, on the phone and on our server.
The clips you already exported stay in your phone’s gallery (Movies/ClipMix): they’re yours and we don’t touch them.
Without the app
Write to us at clipmix@som.company with:
- your account ID, in the form
CM-XXXX-XXXX, which is in Profile, right below your account details; - and, if it’s a different one, an email where we can reply.
Since the account is anonymous, the account ID is the only thing that tells us which account is yours. A person reviews each request before deleting anything, and we handle it within one month at most. We’ll reply to the email you give us.
If you uninstalled the app and didn’t write down your account ID, install it again on the same phone: you’ll recover your account and see the ID in Profile. From there you can also delete it directly.
What is deleted
- Your projects: the transcripts, the suggested clips and the edit document of each exported clip.
- The audio and the video pieces that were being processed. If any was halfway through uploading or rendering, it’s deleted within 24 h at most.
- Your balance and your minute history. You’ll lose the minutes you have left, including pack minutes.
- Your ad rewards and your phone’s notification identifier.
- Your support messages.
- The link to your device and, if you had linked them, to your Google account and your email. If you keep using the app or reinstall it, your new account starts empty; the free minutes don’t come again until the next ones are due, 30 days after the previous ones.
What we keep and why
- The device free-minutes record: a device fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash of ANDROID_ID, from which the original cannot be recovered) and the dates of the last free minutes, without any data from your account. It’s what makes the free minutes 30 minutes every 30 days per device: without it, deleting the account and coming back would bring the next free minutes forward.
- A record of the account, marked as deleted: the random installation identifier, the plan and the dates, without email or Google account. The app keeps that installation identifier as long as you don’t uninstall it, so if you keep using it on that phone, the record is reused for your new empty account: with the same internal identifier (the one RevenueCat and AppsFlyer know) and linked again to your device fingerprint. Your new account starts empty; the free minutes don’t come again until the next ones are due, 30 days after the previous ones. It is kept as long as ClipMix is in service.
- Your deletion request (the account ID and the email), if you made it from this website: while we handle it and up to 1 year after closing it, as proof that we handled it.
- The receipts of your purchases: they are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat, which are the ones that process them. ClipMix doesn’t keep them.
- The data held by AppsFlyer, RevenueCat, Firebase and Google AdMob (which receives your anonymous account identifier in each ad verification): deleting the account doesn’t yet delete it there automatically. If you want us to delete it too, say so in the form or write to us on Support with your account ID and we’ll ask each of them.
- Server backups, until they are overwritten: up to 30 days.
Your subscription
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it yourself in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, before or after deleting the account. If you don’t, Google Play will keep charging you for the renewals.
